JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for operating a forklift to move products and materials around the facility efficiently, while adhering to all safety policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Comply with Westlake Safety Policies and Procedures
2. Maintain regular attendance, punctuality, and flexibility in scheduling
3. Operate forklift safely and effectively, following all safety and company policies
4. Feed production lines by managing wet and dry tile racks
5. Transport tiles between the racking section and cure bays using a forklift, managing wet and cured tiles accordingly
6. Load trucks with correct tile color and profile promptly
7. Unload internal transfer trucks and assist with unloading other shipments efficiently
8. Perform daily safety and maintenance checks on the forklift; report issues immediately
9. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
• Team player with reliability and a strong work ethic

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Ability to read, understand, and follow simple instructions
• High School Diploma preferred
• At least 1 year of related experience

EQUIPMENT AND MATERIALS

Forklift, mixers, air-driven pumps, moisture balance, dust collector system

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Exposure to noise, temperature extremes, dust, chemicals, and environmental conditions
• Prolonged standing and repetitive movements
• Ability to bend, twist, and lift/move items up to 50 pounds
• Ability to move around the facility and wear personal protective equipment

COMPENSATION

The base pay range is $20.35/hr. to $24.10/hr., based on market data, experience, and skills. Additional benefits and total compensation details are provided as part of the employment package.
