Job summary

Relogistics is seeking a Forklift Operator to move pallets and materials through the warehouse, supporting production needs and loading/unloading customer trailers. You may also sort pallets by hand and repair damaged wooden pallets as needed.

This role is vital to our Relogistics site and offers a clear path for career advancement. Starting pay is $19.00 per hour for the 3rd shift (Tuesday–Saturday, 6:00pm–2:30am) at our Coppell, TX location.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Forklift certification is preferred.
• 1-3 years of forklift experience preferred.
• Previous warehouse/logistics experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Move sorted pallet stacks to staging areas using forklift equipment.
• Operate forklifts with strict adherence to safety procedures.
• Hand-sort pallets when required.
• Repair wooden pallets with a nail gun when needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Be willing to work overtime as needed.

Job description

As a Forklift Operator, you’ll get to move pallets and other materials through the different areas of the warehouse, supporting production requirements in those areas, as well as loading and unloading customer trailers. Forklift Operators also get to wear many hats within the site! You may also sort pallets by hand and repair damaged wooden pallets by hand in some locations. This role is vital to the success of our Relogistics site!

• Move sorted pallet stacks to appropriate staging area using Relogistics forklift equipment
• Forklifts must be operated with extreme care, adhering to company safety procedures at all times
• Hand-sorting wooden pallets, when required
• Repairing wooden pallets using a nail gun, when required
• Maintain a clean & safe working environment
• High School Diploma or GED
• Forklift certification preferred
• 1-3 years of forklift experience
• Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, lumber, carpentry, welding, roofing, and/or construction is strongly preferred
• Willingness to work in a labor intensive environment
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Willing to work overtime as needed

Work Environment

• Ability to work in extreme conditions to include, but not limited to, elements, heat, cold, and air particulate
• Repetitively adjust body position to bend, stoop, walk, turn, pivot, and sit in a forklift for entire shifts of varying lengths
• The noise level in the work environment is dependent on location
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required (eye protection, ear protection is mandatory at several locations, safety shoes)
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include, close vision, distance vision and color vision
• May be required to lift pallets by hand, each weighing between 50 lbs. to 75 lbs
