Job summary

Staffmark Group in Byhalia, MS is hiring a Forklift Operator to safely move pallets and support daily warehouse operations. The 1st shift runs Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, with pay of $17.00 per hour.

You will operate forklifts, load and unload goods, and help maintain inventory accuracy. Training with RF scanners and WMS is preferred, along with knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; forklift training beneficial.
• Experience operating forklifts and safe equipment use required.
• Knowledge of RF scanners and warehouse software a plus.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport materials in a busy warehouse.
• Load, unload, move, stack and organize palletized materials.
• Support inventory movement and maintain warehouse efficiency.

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.


• Previous warehouse training or powered industrial truck training is beneficial.

Experience Requirements

• Experience operating forklifts or other powered industrial equipment safely and efficiently.


• Ability to load, unload, move, stack, and organize palletized materials.


• Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and safe equipment operation.


• Ability to accurately identify inventory, shipping documentation, and storage locations.


• Strong attention to detail, dependable attendance, and commitment to workplace safety.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in warehouse, distribution, logistics, manufacturing, or shipping and receiving is preferred.


• Current forklift certification or experience operating multiple classes of powered industrial equipment is beneficial.


• Experience using RF scanners, warehouse management systems (WMS), or inventory software is considered an asset.


• Individuals who demonstrate safe operating practices, teamwork, reliability, and productivity are well positioned for success as a Forklift Operator.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and climb on and off powered industrial equipment throughout the shift.


• Ability to lift, move, or reposition materials weighing up to 50 pounds when required.


• Ability to safely operate forklifts in busy warehouse and manufacturing environments.


• Ability to maintain awareness of surrounding personnel, equipment, and inventory while operating powered industrial vehicles.
