Job summary

Silgan Containers Manufacturing Corporation in Burlington, IA seeks a Forklift Operator to safely move materials and support production, shipping, and receiving. This role operates multiple forklifts, loads trucks, and prepares goods for transfer across departments.

The job requires at least six months forklift experience in a manufacturing setting, with certification achievable if not currently certified. We value safety and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Operate G-5 Royal T-250, Hester Spacesaver, and CAT T-50 forklifts.
• Load trucks with finished sheet metal.
• Load cut sheet material onto platforms for dispatch through lines.
• Prepare finished goods for transfer to other departments.
• Remove coil loads and other materials from trucks as delivered.
• Assist production, shipping and receiving operations.

Join us as a Forklift Operator!

Your work schedule:

• 12-hour shift on a rotating schedule, 6:00pm-6:00am




• Work 2-2-3 schedule: You will work 2 days, then get 2 rest days, followed by 3 days of work




• Overtime as needed

What you'll do:

• Operate a G-5 Royal T-250, Hester Spacesaver, and CAT T-50 forklifts

We need you to have:

• Experience in a manufacturing facility




• A minimum of six months of forklift driving work experience, operating sit-down forklifts
