Position Purpose:

Warehouse associates are essential to our company's success. They work actively, safely, and independently to maintain the efficient flow of products through our distribution process, ensuring quality standards. As a Forklift Operator, Non-Formula, you will operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, reach trucks, etc.

The Forklift Operator, Non-Formula transports incoming freight to inventory from staging areas for storage in appropriate slots on multi-level racks and replenishes pick slots in a timely manner, ensuring safety, GMP, and quality standards are met to maintain efficient production flow. They work as part of a team within the department and organization, performing duties assigned to best serve the company.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Locating proper slots on storage racks, setting pallets with forklifts or hand stacking, entering product data and location into systems. Performing count checks of incoming freight in staging areas and transporting to the freezer with forklifts or pallet jacks.
• Replenishing pick slots with outgoing stock according to work orders, rotating stock to ensure freshness, and removing outdated inventory.
• Dispersing overstocked items to available slots for temporary storage.
• Removing empty pallets, cardboard, and strapping to designated areas.
• Inspecting pallets for damage, stacking, and moving pallets with pallet jacks or forklifts.
• Following all safety policies and procedures, reporting unsafe conditions immediately.
• Performing safety checks on equipment, preparing supplies, and ensuring readiness for operations.
• Wearing all required PPE and safety gear.
• Meeting productivity and accuracy standards.
• Inspecting items for damage, performing temperature and quality checks, and taking appropriate actions.
• Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the work area.
• Managing batteries and vehicle inspections.
• Securing equipment and completing paperwork at shift end.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
• At least 6 months of warehouse/distribution experience
• Ability to work scheduled hours and overtime
• Ability to stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly, lifting products weighing between 10-90 pounds as needed
• Ability to work in multi-temperature environments (cooler, freezer, dry)
• Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check

Preferred Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
• Over 1 year of warehouse/distribution experience with motorized pallet jacks or forklifts
• Experience in foodservice distribution or related industry
• Certification in operating motorized pallet jacks and/or forklifts
