Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is hiring a Forklift Operator for our Brookhaven, MS distribution center. The role uses standup forklifts and RF scanners to move products within the DC and place items in designated areas.

You must be comfortable working up to heights and performing tasks safely. The position offers full-time hours on the 1st shift with start around 5 am, plus comprehensive benefits starting after 60 days, including medical, dental, vision, FSA/HSA, and life insurance, along with vacation,

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience operating a forklift and RF scanner preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English well for safety and instruction.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve and transport product to assigned slots.
• Identify product to be selected, sorted, and placed.
• Follow aisle specifications for product sorting and placement.
• Enter assigned product for each shift into the system.
• Work safely to prevent injury to people and damage to products and equipment.
• Other duties may be assigned.

The Forklift Operator uses industrial, powered, computer-equipped standup forklifts to move materials throughout the distribution center and place product in designated areas. You will need to be comfortable working at heights of 20 feet or more at times.

• Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour.
• 1st shift 5 am start time; end time is based on volume for the day

Qualifications You’ll Bring As a Warehouse Teammate

• At least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous experience operating a forklift and RF Utility (preferable, not required).
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
