Job summary

Archway is seeking a Forklift Operator to safely move, locate and store materials using a forklift or other power-operated equipment. You will perform loading/unloading, picking/packing, labeling shipments, and maintaining organized inventory and accurate paperwork.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, forklift experience and certification (or the ability to certify within 30 days), plus warehouse experience and basic math/reading skills. Physical lifting up to 40 lbs is expected.

Qualifications

  • Previous warehouse/manufacturing experience required.
  • Forklift experience required.
  • Current forklift certification and/or the ability to become certified within 30 days is required.
  • Basic math and reading skills.
  • Must be able to read and understand written and verbal instructions.
  • Able to pay attention to details to ensure accuracy.
  • Strong team building skills and able to work well as part of a team.
  • Able to lift/move up to 40 pounds solo and greater weights in a team-lift environment.
  • Physically able to lift, carry, bend, stretch, and stand for long periods of time, and able to handle heights.

Responsibilities

  • Safe and efficient operation of all power-operated equipment that requires certification
  • Safe and efficient movement of the product, including loading and unloading of trucks
  • Accurately pick and pack items for shipment, potentially with a forklift
  • Label and prepare items for shipment
  • Work with inventory control on correct product placement
  • Complete required paperwork and project time-tracking documentation
  • Maintain warehouse order to ensure pallet locations are kept available for incoming items
  • Ensure all items not required in the short term are restocked according to established procedures
  • Update the Warehouse Management System (WMS) with the transactions completed
  • Perform daily safety checklist and standard battery changing procedures
  • Assist with contacting freight couriers to schedule pick-ups and deliveries
  • Aid in cycle counting and periodic inventories
  • Update supervisor and team lead on issues or concerns
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Support and maintain corporate quality, health and safety standards, processes, policies, and work instructions (ISO standards where applicable)
  • All other duties as assigned

The pay rate for this role is $23.50 an hour.
