Job summary

Archway is seeking a Warehouse Associate in the Trenton, NJ area. Responsibilities include unloading, receiving, storing, and shipping materials using a forklift, and maintaining accurate inventory records.

The role requires forklift experience and a current certification or ability to obtain one within 30 days. You will participate in safety checks and adhere to ISO-quality standards while supporting a fast-paced team.

Qualifications

  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
  • Previous warehouse/manufacturing experience required.
  • Forklift experience and certification required (or able to certify within 30 days).
  • Basic math and reading skills; able to follow written/verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Operate power equipment with certification as required.
  • Unload, receive, and store materials; pick and pack items for shipment.
  • Label items and prepare shipments; assist with inventory control and cycle counts.
  • Maintain clean, safe work area and participate in safety and quality programs.

Job description

Shift: 5:00 am - 3:00 pm or 3:00 pm - 1:00 am

Responsible for the accurate unloading, receiving, shipping, relocating, and storing of materials, utilizing a forklift or other power operated equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safe and efficient operation of all power operated equipment that requires certification
  • Safe and efficient movement of Product. (Including loading and unloading trucks)
  • Accurately pick and pack items for shipment potentially with a forklift
  • Label and prepare items for shipment
  • Work with Inventory Control on correct product placement
  • Complete required paperwork and project time-tracking documentation
  • Maintain warehouse order to ensure pallet locations are kept available for incoming items
  • Ensure all items not required short term are restocked according to established procedures
  • Update Warehouse Management System with transaction
  • Performs daily safety checklist and standard battery charging procedure
  • Assist with contacting freight couriers to schedule pick-ups and deliveries
  • Assist in cycle counting and periodic inventories
  • Assist team members in meeting and exceeding customer expectations
  • Update supervisor and team lead on issues or concerns
  • Participate in process Improvement by communicating to supervisor and/or team lead
  • Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area
  • Support and maintain corporate quality, health and safety standards, processes, policies, practices and work instructions. (ISO standards where applicable)
  • All other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Previous warehouse/manufacturing experience required
  • Forklift experience is required
  • Current forklift certification and/or ability to become certified within a 30-day period required
  • Basic math and reading skills
  • Must be able to read and understand written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to pay attention to detail to ensure accuracy
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to lift/move up to 40 pounds solo and greater weights in a team-lift environment
  • Physical requirements include: lifting, carrying, bending, stretching, and standing for long periods of time, ability to handle heights
