Job summary

Optimized Process Designs (OPD) in Mt. Belvieu, TX is seeking a Truck Driver to support field operations on oil, gas and petrochemical projects at the jobsite in Mt. Belvieu.

The role includes operating water trucks, driving a dump truck or cement truck, and pulling a trailer while adhering to site safety and signaling directions. Qualified candidates have a valid CDL, at least 6 months of experience, and must travel away from home as needed.

Qualifications

• Valid Commercial Driver's License
• At least 6 months of experience driving a dump truck, cement truck, or other commercial vehicle
• Travel is a must with extended periods away from home in remote areas at times
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
• Must work in extreme heat, humidity, and cold conditions
• Must attend mandatory safety meetings
• Must work in a team environment
• Must work shifts up to 12 hours per day and 7 days per week
• Must meet basic physical requirements

What You Will Do

Some core responsibilities for a Truck Driver include:

• Maintenance and repair of machinery as requested or required.
• Driving water truck to dry areas of jobsite
• Drive truck and pull a trailer
• Follow signal directions while safely operating equipment

• Be aware of changing conditions on an active jobsite
• Be on time to the jobsite each day ready for work
• Display a positive attitude and be able to work in a team environment
• Some physical demands of being a Truck Driver include:
• Capable of working in outdoor weather and environmental conditions including extreme heat and humidity, extreme cold, and high elevations.
• Lifting and carrying awkward objects up to 60 lbs
• Standing for extended periods of time up to 12 hours per day.
• Moving the entire body. Considerable use of arms, legs, climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, crawling, twisting, reaching, and bending on a regular basis.
• Must have good hand-eye coordination
• Use hands to handle, control, and feel objects and/or tools.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

What Will Put You Ahead

• Previous experience in oil and gas construction
• 3+ years of relevant work experience
