Job summary

Ravago Manufacturing Americas in Baytown, TX is seeking a Warehouse/Forklift Operator to load, unload, and stage products using powered industrial equipment. You will also use handheld scanners to manage picking, receiving, and put-away tasks, while keeping the facility organized and safe.

Candidates should have at least 2 years of forklift/warehouse experience, strong math and reading skills, and the ability to follow daily instructions.

Responsibilities

• Unload and load product using appropriate handling and safety techniques.
• Segregate, label, check and stage inbound or outbound product correctly.
• Sign/Date and fill out all required paperwork for each load.
• Enter required data points in handheld devices.
• Maintain good housekeeping and follow safety policies.
• Assist in physical/cycle counts if needed.
• Execute assignments accurately, timely, and safely.
• Identify damages/report overages/shortages or quality deficiencies.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by Supervisor.

Job description

Purpose of Role

Load, unload, move, stack, and stage products and materials using a forklift, clamp truck, or other powered industrial equipment. Use handheld scanners for picking, receiving, put-a-way, and load functions as required. Maintain the facility’s equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion. On a daily basis, inspect and perform minor maintenance on the forklift or other equipment. Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods.

Essential Functions

• Unload and load product correctly using the appropriate handling and safety techniques.
• Segregate, label, check and stage inbound or outbound product correctly.
• Sign/Date, and completely fill out all required paperwork for each load.
• Enter any required data point in handheld device(s).
• Good housekeeping and organizational skills and follow safety policies.
• Must be able to follow work instructions and safety policies.
• May be asked to assist in physical/cycle counts.
• Execute assignments in an accurate, timely, and safe manner.

Physical Requirements

• Regularly sitting on a powered industrial truck.
• Frequently lift up to 55 lbs and adjust body position to bend, stoop, stand, walk, turn, pivot and stand for long periods of time.
• Climb on and off equipment repeatedly.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures, depending upon season.
