Join to apply for the Forklift Operator role at Americold Logistics, LLC.

Under general supervision, the Lift Truck Operator (LTO), Warehouse Worker will ensure the safe and accurate receipt, storage, and shipment of food products using equipment such as sit-down and stand-up forklifts, stand-up straddle trucks, walk-behind forklifts, pallet jacks, double pallet jacks, and radio frequency equipment.

What You’ll Do

• Efficiently and safely load and unload freight using appropriate equipment to move products to storage throughout the facility.
• Stack and store merchandise, pick and assemble orders for shipment, check freight for accuracy, damage, and infestation, and label, sort, wrap, pack, and repack as directed by management.
• Operate equipment in compliance with OSHA standards, promoting safety.
• Meet production standards while maintaining a clean and orderly work environment.
• Perform other duties such as inventory management, cleaning, forklift battery changes, and other tasks as needed.

What Experience and Education You Need

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Three months of related work experience preferred.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to perform essential functions, including operating a forklift, sitting, hearing, talking, close vision, handling objects, typing, and manipulating controls. Occasional requirements include distance vision, standing, kneeling, or crouching. Reasonable accommodations are available for qualified individuals with disabilities.

• Work in spaces with 55 inches of headroom.
• Tolerate environments with temperatures from –15°F to outside ambient conditions.
• Access elevated products up to 30 ft. inside safety cages.
• Stand for up to 5 hours during an 8-hour shift.
• Lift or carry products up to 70 lbs. over a minimum distance of 6 ft.
