Job summary

Smurfit Westrock Company in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Forklift Operator to load and unload materials, move them to storage, machines, and loading docks, and participate in cross training. GENERAL PURPOSE : The forklift Operator is responsible for operating and managing industrial trucks to load and unload materials and deliveries and move them to and from storage areas, machines and loading docks, into railroad cars or trucks or storage areas. They are responsible for all activities associated with safely operating and caring for the forklift and the proper operation of the forklift at our facility in addition to participating in cross training efforts for specific plant needs and sharing those duties with other drivers. Duties include the completion of all required quality tests and inspections and notifying supervisors of any observed concerns in the production area related to either product handled or the safety of the facility.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :

• Load/Unload trailers in a safe manner
