FORKLIFT DRIVER

$24.22 per hour

Second Shift: Monday through Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. (overtime and weekends as needed)

Overview

Support the operation of a fast-paced packaging manufacturing facility. Focusing on our customers’ success will allow you opportunities to develop and grow your career in manufacturing.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading trucks; warehousing product and materials and supplying production lines with requested product and/or components in a safe and efficient manner.
• Ensuring that all units are banded properly, have a clearly visible load tag when being loaded, and that there are no broken or missing straps on the units.
• Performing our last visual quality inspection, and ensuring that unit and truck counts are correct and that all paperwork is accurate.
• Using a computerized scanner for inventory control; unloading incoming material as needed and performing a visual quality inspection on items to confirm accurate unit and truck counts.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Forklift certification with 3‑5 years of forklift experience in a fast‑paced environment.
• Flexibility to work shifts and availability for overtime.
• Proficient reading, writing, and speaking in English; math skills will be assessed.
• Ability to read and understand an order spec sheet and a tape measure (to 1/16" measurement), perform basic math, and use basic computer skills.
• Knowledge of load tags, unitizing, and palletizing information.
• Completion of Lift Truck Training and passing of the written and driving skills test to be certified as a Lift Truck Operator.
• Adaptability to fit into a plant safety culture.
• Successful background check and pre‑employment drug screen.
