Job summary

Kids for the Future in Houston, TX is seeking a Mobile Equipment Operator. The role focuses on safe forklift operation, material transport, and inventory handling within a manufacturing setting. You will perform daily equipment checks, work with large loads up to 15,000 lbs, and participate in a comprehensive benefits program including bonuses and ESOP. Must have a HS diploma and 5+ years of forklift experience.

Qualifications

• Possess a strong mechanical ability.
• Must be able to do basic math.
• Knowledge of the physics of load and weight distribution and center of gravity.
• Forklift operators must have a good knowledge of warehouse arrangement and functionality.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a forklift and transport products around the facility.
• Lift/move/pack loads up to 15,000 lbs of metal and plastic pipe.
• Navigate tight spaces without damaging Lane products.
• Complete daily forklift check list and report issues to maintenance or Supervisor.
• Drive defensively and carry loads safely around pedestrians.
• Store inventory to facilitate rotating inventory.
• Cut scrap pipe, clean forklift, breakroom, coil storage, sweep mill area, and other duties.
