Job summary

U-Haul is seeking a Forklift & Maintenance Mechanic to help keep our plant running safely and efficiently. The position offers a Monday–Friday schedule and is based at 1800 Reynolds Ave, Kansas City, MO 64120.

Responsibilities include maintaining and repairing Crown and Toyota forklifts, performing basic facility maintenance, changing oil, and troubleshooting mechanical systems while upholding all safety policies and attendance expectations.

Qualifications

• Experience with Crown and Toyota forklifts.
• Strong mechanical skills.

Work Environment:

The work involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions, e.g. working around moving parts, machines, fumes, or irritant chemicals. May be required to use protective clothing, or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves, or shields.

Physical Demands:

The work requires some physical exertion such as long periods both indoors and outdoors of remaining stationary, traversing spaces, repositioning to reach and use tools, and moving a minimum of 50 lbs assisted or unassisted.
