Job summary

Commercial Metals Company in Austin, TX is hiring for a general labor/warehouse role. The position involves sorting and placing materials on racks, operating a forklift, and supporting loading and unloading of shipments.

You'll assist in inventory and maintain a clean, organized work area. Candidates should have at least 1 year in construction or manufacturing, strong communication, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in varying climates.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in construction or manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Ability to communicate with customers, employees and business leaders.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in an uncontrolled climate environment and in the elements.
• Ability to operate hand tools.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Sort and place materials on racks, shelves or bins by size, type, style, color or product code.
• Operate a forklift to move materials and supplies as required.
• Assist in unloading and loading customers and in performing inventory checks.
• Assist in filling work/shipping orders and maintaining a clean work area.
• Other duties as assigned in general support of the organization.
