Job summary

Printpack Inc. seeks a Material Handler to move materials safely and efficiently, supporting production and maintaining accurate inventory records.

Responsibilities include forklift operation, daily safety checks, loading/unloading, pallet staging, and cycle counts within a fast-paced plant environment. The ideal candidate has forklift certification, basic computer skills, and the ability to read production schedules in a warehouse setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing or warehousing is a plus.
• Valid forklift certification (or ability to obtain forklift certification).
• Basic computer literacy.
• Ability to read and understand production schedules.
• Mathematical skills for inventory counting.
• Knowledge of warehouse management systems.
• Understanding of safety protocols.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions.
• Basic problem-solving skills.
• Team-oriented mindset.
• Time management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Operate material handling equipment, primarily forklifts, safely and efficiently.
• Perform daily safety inspections of lift equipment and complete documentation.
• Load and unload trucks per shipping/receiving schedules.
• Store and retrieve pallets with inventory locations using handheld devices.
• Stage materials according to production schedules.
• Move WIP pallets between machine locations and rack storage.
• Maintain organized storage areas and proper rack numbering.
• Perform inventory cycle counts and record-keeping.
• Complete safety checklists and logs.
• Maintain cleanliness via 5S and waste management.
