Job summary

Vulcan Industries seeks a Material Handler to safely move raw materials, WIP, and finished goods across the facility, supporting manufacturing, warehouse, and shipping operations. The role emphasizes accuracy in inventory and adherence to safety standards, with forklift operation and attention to detail as core requirements.

The ideal candidate will have at least 6 months forklift experience, basic math skills, and strong communication in English, enabling effective teamwork and independent work

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum six (6) months of forklift operating experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or distribution environment.
• Ability to obtain and maintain company forklift certification.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders, inventory labels, shipping documents, and production records.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Safely operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to transport, load, unload, stack, and store materials throughout the facility.
• Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments accurately and efficiently.
• Stage raw materials, components, and finished goods to support production and shipping activities.

Responsibilities

• Move raw materials, WIP, and finished goods safely and efficiently throughout the facility.
• Support manufacturing, warehouse, shipping, and receiving operations as needed.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and comply with safety and quality standards.
• Operate forklifts and stage materials for production and shipping activities.
