Job summary

RJW Logistics Group is seeking a Material Handler in Lockport, IL to load/unload trucks, pick orders, and store goods in the warehouse. The role requires forklift operation skills, attention to safety, and the ability to work with dispatch and carrier teams.

The position offers opportunities for growth within a company implementing an Employee Ownership Program. Typical shifts include 1st and 2nd, with pay ranging from $20 to $23 per hour depending on experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
• Must be able to communicate, read, write, and speak English.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business materials.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Load/unload truck or trailers using proper procedures.
• Pick and move items from 1 lb to 50 lbs or more as directed.
• Complete necessary documentation accurately.
• Coordinate with dispatch and sales to resolve discrepancies.
• Store inbound loads in correct warehouse locations.
• Ensure shipments are properly marked and staged.
• Maintain orderly warehouse and good housekeeping.
• Operate Stand-up Reach Forklifts, Cherry Pickers, and some sit-down forklift work.
