This position is responsible for entry-level, non-skilled general labor while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
Applicants will be considered for any forklift start type opening (including Forklift operator/Picker/Loader/Put Away duties) on any shift (shift to be determined at the time of offer or after interview based on hiring needs), such as day, evening, or night shift, including overtime and weekends if required. Consideration is also given to openings in departments such as shipping and receiving. Must accept work in cold and damp environments with temperatures ranging from 28 to 42 degrees. Jobs are fast-paced and require repetitive motion. Some positions involve lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 40+ lbs. Material Handling and Receiving positions require lifting 70+ lbs. Constant standing, walking, and riding of powered material handling equipment (forklifts, stand-up lifts) are required. Specialized training for powered industrial trucks is necessary to be qualified within Tyson Foods. The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation. You must have three months of work history within the last twelve months to be considered for this position. All job offers are contingent upon providing proof of legal authorization to work in the U.S. and passing a urinalysis screening as part of a post-offer health assessment.
Rehire candidates will only be considered if their last termination was at least 180 days ago, with a maximum of 2 rehire opportunities at this Tyson facility.
