Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Forklift Operator to safely operate equipment, stack material, load trailers, and empty containers across the facility. The role emphasizes strict adherence to safety policies and efficient material handling within a regulated environment.

Ideal candidates will have OSHA forklift certification, at least 1 year of forklift experience, and strong time-management and customer-service skills to support daily operations and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must complete and pass OSHA forklift certification per 29 CFR 1910.178.
• Customer service skills to meet/exceed expectations; professional and courteous stance.
• Good time management to ensure tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
• Strong follow-through ability; adhere to company policies and safety standards.
• Minimum 1 year of forklift operation experience; OSHA-site familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-operation forklift inspections and ensure equipment is in good condition.
• Load trailers safely and efficiently; coordinate with supervisor for daily tasks.
• Organize material in the warehouse and manage containers throughout the facility.
• Monitor equipment to minimize downtime and follow all required safety policies.
