Responsibilities:

• Performing preventative maintenance on customer forklifts and other material handling equipment
• Diagnose and repair all forms of customer equipment
• Completing each repair in a timely, efficient, and professional manner
• Providing exceptional customer service
• Work and manage workloads independently
• Proper completion and submission of all required paperwork
• Responsible for company vehicle and on-board parts inventory
• Incorporate Alta's Guiding Principles into daily activities
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Maintain consistent, reliable attendance and be ready for work at the designated start time

Qualifications:

• Two years of forklift repair experience, including Military, Guard, or Reserve MOS or NEC codes (e.g., 63B, 63H, 63S, etc.), highly desired
• Previous field experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of electric and liquid propane units
• Excellent mechanical aptitude
• Own tools required
• Clean driving record and valid driver’s license
• Familiarity with computer programs like HYPASS, Hyster TKC, and Yale/Hyster contact management system
• Language skills: Intermediate reading, writing, speaking; basic math skills; intermediate reasoning ability

Physical Demands/Work Environment:

• Regularly stand, walk, use hands; frequently talk/hear; occasionally sit, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl
• No special vision requirements
• Lift up to 10 lbs regularly; 11-25 lbs frequently; 26+ lbs occasionally
• Work near moving parts, exposure to fumes, outdoor weather, and other environmental conditions
