Responsibilities

• Perform basic production activities on a variety of machines to produce precision parts and instruments.
• Frequently walk between operator and loading areas to perform quality checks.
• Manage operations of cut-to-length machines and review blueprints or work orders to understand machining characteristics.
• Select materials, determine processing specifications and secure fixtures, tools, and materials onto machines.
• Set speeds and feeds, monitor operations, and ensure conformance to specifications.
• Perform quality inspections on finished parts and maintain safety and cleanliness of work area.
