POSITION SUMMARY
The Warehouse Lead is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations to ensure the efficient handling, storage, and distribution of materials and products. This role provides hands‑on leadership to warehouse staff by guiding, training, and monitoring performance to maintain productivity and compliance with safety standards. The Warehouse Lead ensures accurate inventory management, timely order processing, and adherence to company policies and OSHA regulations. In addition, this position plays a key role in identifying process improvements, maintaining accurate records, and supporting continuous operational excellence within the warehouse.
Key Responsibilities:
Guide, train, and supervise warehouse staff, ensuring they complete tasks efficiently and follow safety protocols.
Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels, process incoming and outgoing orders, and ensure the integrity of stored goods.
Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving materials, storing products, and preparing orders for shipment.
Enforce safety protocols and regulations, such as OSHA standards , and ensure a clean and safe working environment for all employees.
Recommend and help implement procedures to optimize warehouse efficiency, accuracy, and overall productivity.
Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, and ensure equipment is maintained in proper working order.
Maintain accurate records of inventory, orders, and other relevant warehouse information for reporting purposes.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Requires experience in a warehouse environment, sometimes including a high school diploma or equivalent.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The Warehouse Lead works primarily in a warehouse or production environment where noise levels can vary from moderate to high. The position requires frequent movement throughout the facility, including areas with heavy machinery, forklifts, and other material‑handling equipment. The work environment may involve exposure to varying temperatures depending on seasonal conditions and the nature of warehouse operations. Employees are required to follow all company safety procedures and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed.
