Job summary

Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East is seeking warehouse personnel to safely operate forklifts, manage inventory, and assist in loading and unloading shipments. The role emphasizes accurate record-keeping, adherence to safety standards, and teamwork to ensure efficient warehouse operations.

The position requires forklift certification and prior warehouse experience is often preferred. Candidates should be able to lift heavy loads, stand for extended periods, and maintain attention

Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift to move, load, unload, and stack goods.
• Assist in inventory management, stock counts, and organization of the warehouse.
• Load goods onto trucks and unload incoming deliveries with inspection and verification.
• Report equipment or safety issues to supervisors and keep records of materials handled.
• Collaborate with warehouse managers, supervisors, and teammates to ensure smooth flow of goods.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Forklift Operation:

   • Operate a forklift (electric, propane, or diesel-powered) to move, load, unload, and stack goods in designated areas.
   • Ensure that the forklift is well-maintained, performing routine checks on fluid levels, tires, and other components.

2. Inventory Management:

   • Transport products to storage locations or production lines as per instructions.
   • Assist in managing inventory by conducting regular stock counts, marking stock items, and organizing the warehouse efficiently.

3. Safety and Compliance:

   • Follow all safety regulations and maintain a clean and hazard-free environment.
   • Adhere to company procedures for handling hazardous materials, if applicable.
   • Comply with legal requirements and workplace safety standards.

4. Loading and Unloading:

   • Load goods onto trucks or containers in preparation for shipment.
   • Unload incoming deliveries, inspect the contents, and verify with order documents.

5. Reporting:

   • Report any issues with equipment or safety hazards to supervisors.
   • Keep accurate records of materials handled and moved.

6. Team Collaboration:

   • Communicate with warehouse managers, supervisors, and team members to ensure the smooth flow of goods.
   • Assist in other warehouse tasks, like sorting, packing, or organizing shipments.
