Responsibilities

• Load, unload, ship, and receive warehouse items.
• Move materials to different locations within the facility.
• Optimize loads for operational efficiency.
• Secure loads to the machine before transportation.
• Fill out shift paperwork accurately.
• Adhere to production schedules.
• Inspect for damage during vehicle movement.
• Schedule vehicles for maintenance and repairs.
• Follow safety rules, OSHA requirements and company policies.
• Report Food Safety and Quality concerns to supervisors.
• Contribute to GMP and Plant Safety compliance.

Salary Range: $20.00 To $22.50 Annually

JOBSUMMARY:

ForkliftDriverisresponsibleformovinggoods,loadedpalletsandequipmentsafelyandsecurely.Inadditiontodriving forklifts, a Forklift Driver also has a range of other warehouse duties such as packaging shipments or checking inventories.

• AllstaffareresponsibleforCompliancewithallGMP,FoodSafetyandPlantSafetyruleswhile in the processing facility.Staff are encouraged to report Food Safety and Quality concerns immediately to their supervisors and Quality representatives on shift.

QUALIFICATIONREQUIREMENTS:

Qualifiedindividualsmustbe atleast18yearsoldtoworkinthefoodmanufacturingenvironment.Abilitytofollowwork instruction and keep pace of shipping department is required.Individual must have thorough understanding of shipping policies and procedures. Effective communication skills are needed to support forklift team.This position requires incumbenttohavekeenattentiontodetailandexperienceworkinginateam-oriented,collaborativeenvironment.Individual will need to pass certification from Urban Farmer. The individual must be able to perform each essential job duty and responsibility satisfactorily.Individual must have good hand/eye coordination and excellent motor skills to operate necessary machinery safely.
