Job summary

Urban-Farmer-Inc is seeking a Forklift Driver to move goods, load pallets, and operate forklifts safely within our Illinois facility. You will perform warehouse duties such as packaging shipments and inventory checks while adhering to GMP and food-safety standards.

The role requires attention to detail, teamwork, and reliable communication to support the shipping department and production schedules within a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old to work in food manufacturing.
• Ability to follow work instructions and keep pace of shipping department.
• Understand shipping policies and procedures.
• Effective communication to support forklift team.
• Must pass certification from Urban Farmer.
• Must perform each essential job duty satisfactorily.
• Good hand/eye coordination and motor skills to operate machinery safely.

Responsibilities

• Loading, unloading, shipping, and receiving items.
• Transporting materials within the facility.
• Optimizing loads for operational efficiency.
• Securing loads to the machine before transportation.
• Filling out shift paperwork accurately.
• Adhering to production schedules.
• Inspecting for damages to vehicles.
• Scheduling vehicles for maintenance and repairs.
• Follow safety rules, OSHA requirements and company policies.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
• Report Food Safety concerns to supervisors and Quality on shift.

JOBSUMMARY:

ForkliftDriverisresponsibleformovinggoods,loadedpalletsandequipmentsafelyandsecurely.Inadditiontodriving forklifts, a Forklift Driver also has a range of other warehouse duties such as packaging shipments or checking inventories.

QUALIFICATIONREQUIREMENTS:

The individual must be able to perform each essential job duty and responsibility satisfactorily.Individual must have good hand/eye coordination and excellent motor skills to operate necessary machinery safely.
