Job summary

Williams-Sonoma, Inc. is seeking a Forklift Driver for 2nd shift in South Brunswick, NJ. Shift runs Monday to Friday from 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM, full-time non-exempt.

Proposal salary range is $19.00/hr to $20.50/hr. Responsibilities include picking, loading/unloading, and maintaining inventory accuracy using PKMS and other power equipment. Qualifications require a high school diploma and at least 1 year of forklift experience (Order Picker, Reach Truck, Pacer, Turret).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• At least 1 year of forklift experience operating Order Picker, Reach Truck, Pacer, and Turret.
• Onsite role and ability to work in a team.
• Strong attendance and communication skills.
• Ability to learn warehouse management systems (PKMS).
• Ability to read locations and SKU numbers.
• Willing to be cross trained on WSI DDC equipment.
• Positive attitude, ability to work under pressure, and fast learning.
• Flexible for overtime and English communication.

Responsibilities

• Ensure completion of all tasks by end of day with leadership.
• Complete daily pick for the Hub using the inventory management system.
• Use orders to determine item movement; may involve power equipment.
• Maintain inventory accuracy via warehouse systems.
• Complete staging and sweeping tasks using power equipment.
• Load, unload, stack and stage products with power equipment.
• Keep aisles and surroundings organized daily.
• Promote safety and cultivate safety culture.
• Perform other duties as instructed.

Responsibilities

• Work with leadership to ensure completion of all (Manual and On-Task) tasks by end of each day
• Complete daily pick for the Hub using the inventory management system
• Utilize orders to determine where items need to be moved, may or may not include power equipment
• Utilize the warehouse system to maintain and uphold inventory accuracy
• Ensure completion of all staging/sweeping tasks using power equipment
• Load, unload, stack, and stage products utilizing multiple types of power equipment
• Maintain organization and housekeeping of aisles and surroundings daily
• Promote safety awareness and cultivate safety culture throughout the company to help avoid unsafe or hazardous working conditions
• Other duties as instructed

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• At least 1 year of forklift experience operating Order Picker, Reach Truck, Pacer, and Turret
• Onsite and in-office role
• Excellent attendance and willingness to be part of a team – performing whatever duties are necessary
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Ability to learn warehouse management system functions (PKMS)
• Ability to read and verify locations and SKU numbers
• Willing and able to be cross trained and certified to operate any or all WSI DDC equipment (Reach Tracker, Pacers, Swing Reach, Order Picker/TT, Motorized Pallet Jack)
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, ability to work under pressure, and fast learner
• Flexible to work overtime as required
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing

Physical Requirements

• Comfortable walking/standing 100% of the day
• Able to bend, reach, squat, and climb stairs/ladders
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs
