Job summary

RRD is hiring a Forklift Driver for the 2nd shift in Iowa. Starting min rate is $20.00 per hour with a $2 per hour shift premium. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 3:00pm–11:00pm, with occasional overtime including weekends. Great benefits and potential bonuses are available based on location and performance.

Responsibilities include operating forklift or clamp truck, loading/unloading, and moving materials safely within the warehouse. All qualified applicants encouraged to apply.

Job Description

Forklift Driver - 2nd Shift

Starting min rate of $20.00hr

Schedule

• Monday - Friday
• 3:00pm - 11:00pm
• Occasional overtime may be required including weekends
• $2/hr shift premium

Qualifications

• Must be skilled in handling controls for starting, stopping, backings, and driving fork lift or clamp truck through aisles in building, up and down ramps, and in and out of railroad cars, trucks, etc.; and, for lifting, lowering, and tilting forks by moving hands, arms, feet, and legs to operate controls
• Must know how high, wide, and long the fork lift truck and its load are, and how much the fork lift truck can lift
• Good special ability to identify how high and wide a doorway and an aisle must be to drive the fork lift truck and its load; how high and wide the shelf, bin, etc., must be to place the load; and how high the load must be lifted to reach the shelf or bin
• Must be able to recognize whether the fork lift truck is able to lift the load and whether the load is properly balanced
• Knowledge of the layout of the storage area to be able to find and place items without need for detailed instructions

Additional Information

The pay range for this role at the noted location is $20.00 - $22.75 per hour. The actual rate of pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to education, skills, experience, proficient, performance, shift, and location. In addition to the base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include a sign-on bonus, overtime, shift differential, call-in and stand-by pay.
