Job summary

Mondi Group is seeking a forklift operator to prepare pallets of finished goods and manage pallet movement at our Illinois facility. You will inspect forklifts at shift start, load shipments, and ensure accurate paperwork, while moving pallets through production to shipping areas.

This role includes wrapping, tagging, stocking, and routine housekeeping. The ideal candidate has a High School diploma and 1–5 years of reach forklift experience, with strong reliability and stress management skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform forklift inspections at the start of each shift and report repairs.
• Load outgoing shipments and prepare required paperwork.
• Move pallets from production to shipping or drying areas.
• Wrap, strap, and prepare pallets for shipment or storage per instructions.
• Strap and wrap stock pallets in racks and tag pallets.
• Put away stock and scan into locations.
• Handle packaging to Acromat areas as required by the production schedule.
• Maintain housekeeping; notify supervisor of tipped pallets and sweep floors daily.
• Overtime or weekend work may be required.
• Assist with training new hires and other tasks as assigned.

About the Role

The purpose of this position is to prepare pallets of finished goods to meet shipping requirements and manage pallet movement.

Your Mission

1. Forklift inspections must be performed at the start of each shift. Any required repairs must be

reported to the Logistics Supervisor, Lead, or Manager.

2. Load all outgoing shipments and prepare all required paperwork.

All paperwork must be turned in to the office daily before the end of the shift.

3. Move pallets from the production area to the shipping or drying area.

4. Wrap, strap, and prepare pallets for shipment or storage as directed by the Lead or Management.

5. Strap and wrap stock pallets in the racks.

6. Report pallets as finished, attach pallet tags, and remove all pallets from the Arcomats.

7. Put away stock in the racks and scan it into the appropriate locations.

8. Bring packaging to the Acromat areas as required by the production schedule.

9. Perform housekeeping duties. Notify the Lead or Supervisor of tipped pallets in the racks.

Pick up garbage and bags from the floors, empty the garbage, and sweep the floors daily before the end of shift.

10. Overtime or weekend work will be required when needed and as communicated by Management.

11. Perform other duties as assigned (e.g., train new hires when asked, and complete any other task or

assignment within the scope of the business).

Your Profile

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.


• 1-5 years of reach forklift experience.


• Disciplined, dependable and resourceful.


• High level of composure and good stress management skills.
