Job description

We are looking for a reliable full-time, seasonal Forklift Driver from May until approximately October to load and unload stone/pavers and nursery stock at our Distribution Center.

The Forklift Driver is responsible for the safe operation of a forklift. This position requires a person who can work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of accuracy. This position requires the ability to lift and move heavy objects and operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner and you will stage orders of stone and load and unload vehicles. You must be able to lift 50 lbs unassisted.

Requirements:

• Forklift experience – 1 year; you will be required to pass a forklift driving test that will be administered by a representative of Northern Nurseries.
• Ability to do maintenance of forklifts such as greasing, adding fluids, OHSA compliance – 1 year
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. unassisted
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must have a clean driving record
• Operate forklift to move materials and products around site
• Keep work area clean and organized
• Follow all safety rules & regulations as well as wear proper PPE when required
• Report any safety issues to Supervisor or Manager immediately
