Cadeco Industries Inc. seeks an experienced Forklift Operator to safely move, load, unload, and organize materials in our Houston warehouse. This role supports shipping, receiving, and inventory tasks and may supervise a loading crew under the Warehouse Supervisor.

The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, and detail-oriented, thriving in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Current forklift certification and warehouse experience are required, with bilingual English/Spanish a plus.

Formación

• Must hold current forklift operator certification and complete company training.

• Ability to maneuver equipment safely in warehouse aisles, loading areas, and other designated spaces.

Responsabilidades

• Safely operate forklifts and other authorized material-handling equipment to move, stack, stage, and store products.
• Load and unload trucks and trailers, ensuring materials are properly handled to prevent damage.
• Lead and coordinate loading crew activities under the Warehouse Supervisor.
• Follow loading instructions, product identification requirements, and warehouse storage procedures.
• Verify product labels, item numbers, quantities, weights, and storage locations against shipping and receiving documents.
• Promptly report damaged products, incorrect labels, inventory discrepancies, misplaced materials, or other conditions affecting warehouse operations.
• Complete pre-use equipment inspections and report equipment damage, malfunctions, or unsafe conditions immediately.
• Follow equipment operating limits, pedestrian safety rules, and established warehouse safety procedures.
• Keep products clearly labeled, organized, and stored in designated locations.
• Accurately complete daily logs, inspection checklists, shipping/receiving records, and production reports.
• Maintain clean and orderly work areas, loading areas, and surrounding warehouse spaces.
• Communicate equipment breakdowns, missing tools, material shortages, and other operational concerns to the Warehouse Supervisor.
• Assist with inventory counts and other warehouse duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Current forklift operator certification. Must complete the company’s equipment-specific training before operating independently.

Previous forklift operating experience in a warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environment.

Prior forklift training or certification preferred; must successfully complete required company training and operating evaluation before operating equipment.

Ability to safely maneuver equipment in warehouse aisles, loading areas, and other designated spaces.

Basic math skills and the ability to accurately record quantities, weights, and product information.

Ability to read and follow work instructions, product labels, and safety procedures.

Clear verbal and written communication skills.

Strong attention to detail, spatial awareness, and sound judgment.

Ability to work effectively with others and help direct crew members during loading and unloading.

Bilingual English and Spanish preferred.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

Ability to perform the essential duties of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Work involves sitting while operating equipment, walking, standing, bending, reaching, twisting, and climbing on and off equipment.

Duties may include handling loads weighing up to 80 pounds, using appropriate lifting equipment or team assistance as needed.

Work takes place in a warehouse and loading environment with moving equipment, noise, and varying temperatures.

Required personal protective equipment must be worn, and all safety procedures must be followed.
