Job description

Global Harvest Foods is a leading national manufacturer of wild bird, caged bird, and small critter/pet foods with a 40-year history of customer satisfaction.

We are headquartered in Seattle, WA, and currently have an opportunity for a Forklift Operator in Akron, CO. This role involves processing inbound and outbound loads according to company and customer policies.

Shift: 1st Shift - 7:00am to 3:30pm (hours may vary during busy times)

The primary responsibilities include:

1. Loading and unloading shipments
2. Picking, staging, and loading orders
3. Performing physical inventory counts
4. Preparing shipment paperwork, including Bills of Lading
5. Inspecting and maintaining forklifts and equipment

Qualifications:

• At least one year of experience operating a sit-down forklift
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Basic English reading and writing skills
• 6-12 months related experience or training
• Ability to read safety and operation manuals
• Basic math skills
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs
• Valid driver’s license
• Must be 18+ to operate forklifts
