POSITION SUMMARY

The Forklift Driver is responsible for operating a forklift and other material handling equipment to ship, receive, and pick goods. Duties include loading, unloading, scanning, moving, staging, replenishing, stacking, counting, inspecting product, and reporting damages or discrepancies. The driver must comply with all corporate and site‑specific safety, quality, and performance policies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Shipping: Load outbound shipments with gas or electric forklifts, move and stack products, and follow Standard Operating Procedures.
• Receiving: Unload inbound shipments, replenish and store products, and follow Standard Operating Procedures.
• Picking: Accurately pick orders, stage, package, shrink‑wrap, and label products per client requirements.
• Quality Control: Verify that products meet quality standards, report damages or discrepancies, and perform necessary packaging tasks.
• Safety, Housekeeping, and Compliance: Execute safety protocols, maintain clean and orderly work areas, and comply with OSHA/MSDS standards.
• Equipment Operation: Operate sit‑down, stand‑up, reach trucks, sweeper scrubbers, scissor lifts, cherry pickers, Aisle Master, pallet jack, and other machinery; keep equipment in good condition and report issues.
• Maintenance: Assist with building, grounds, and equipment maintenance as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum six months experience in a logistics, distribution, or relevant environment.
• Ability to operate material handling equipment.
• Satisfactory completion of a forklift training program.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES

• Computer Skills: Basic computer usage, RF scanners, WMS functions.
• Language Skills: Proficient in English (reading, writing, verbal).
• Mathematical Skills: Basic to intermediate level for verifying quantities, inventory counting, and related tasks.
• Other: Strong attention to detail, ability to work with minimal supervision, adaptability to change in a fast‑paced environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 1–3 years experience in a warehouse, logistics, or distribution environment.
• 1–3 years forklift experience.
• Current or prior material handling equipment certification.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Frequent bending, reaching above shoulder and outward, squatting, kneeling, constant standing and walking, occasional handling and sitting, and the ability to push/pull up to 50 lbs.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Low to moderate noise; rarely exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The environment uses standard industrial safety measures.

PAY
