Job summary

DSV is seeking a Forklift Driver at the Sparks, NV location. The Warehouse Associate operates forklifts and related equipment to ship, receive, pick, and stage products while ensuring safety and accuracy per SOPs.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, forklift training, and at least 6 months of logistics experience. Shifts run Sundays–Tuesdays or Thursdays–Saturdays with alternating Wednesdays, 2:30 pm–3:00 am.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum 6 months of experience in logistics/distribution.
• Ability to operate material handling equipment (MHE).
• Completion of forklift training program required.
• Ability to work in unregulated warehouse temperatures (mild to moderate).

Responsibilities

• Shipping: load outbound shipments with forklift and stack items per SOP.
• Receiving: unload inbound shipments and store products per SOP.
• Picking: accurately pick, stage, package, label products per client requirements.
• Quality Control: verify receipt, handling, and shipping; report damages.
• Safety & Housekeeping: follow safety protocols and maintain cleanliness; OSHA/MSDS compliance.
• Equipment Operation & Maintenance: operate sit-down/stand-up forklifts and other equipment; perform daily inspections.
• Maintenance: assist with building and equipment maintenance.
• Other Duties: perform duties as assigned; overtime as required.

Position Summary

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for operating a forklift and other material handling equipment for the purpose of shipping, receiving, and picking. Activities may include loading or unloading, scanning, moving, staging, replenishing, and stacking product. The Associate is also responsible for counting, inspecting product, and notifying leadership of damages or discrepancies. The role requires safe and efficient operation of all equipment and compliance with company policies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Shipping: Use a gas or electric powered forklift to load outbound shipments, move product, and stack items accurately per SOP.
• Receiving: Unload inbound shipments, replenish, stack, and store products accurately per SOP.
• Picking: Accurately pick orders, stage, package, band, shrink wrap, and label products per client requirements.
• Quality Control: Verify product receipt, handling, and shipping, report damages or discrepancies, and ensure quality standards.
• Safety & Housekeeping: Execute safety protocols, maintain facility cleanliness, and comply with OSHA/MSDS standards.
• Equipment Operation & Maintenance: Operate sit‑down, stand‑up, reach truck, sweeper scrubber, scissor lift, cherry picker, Aisle Master, or pallet jack; maintain equipment; perform daily inspections and minor maintenance.
• Maintenance: Assist with building, grounds, and equipment maintenance as assigned.
• Other Duties: Perform duties as assigned; work overtime as required.

Compensation

Base pay: $21.50 hourly (actual compensation determined by experience, education, certification, and location).

Minimum Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 6 months experience in logistics/distribution/relevant environment.
• Able to operate material handling equipment.
• Completion of a forklift training program.
• Ability to work in unregulated warehouse temperatures (mild to moderate).

Preferred Qualifications

• 1–3 years experience in a warehouse/logistics/distribution environment.
• 1–3 years forklift experience.
• Current or prior MHE certification.

Physical Demands

Bending (occasionally); walking and standing (constantly); ability to lift, carry, push, pull, reach above shoulder, reach outward, squat, or kneel.

Work Environment

Low to moderate noise; rarely exposed to fumes, airborne particles, or caustic chemicals.
