Job summary

The Greenbrier Companies is seeking a Material Handler to load, unload, and move materials within or near the plant, yard, or work site. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and teamwork within a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities include receiving and tagging materials, moving inventory to designated areas, delivering parts to work zones, performing cycle counts, and maintaining equipment in good working order. Prior warehouse experience and forklift operation are preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to work within a team environment, communicate professionally with team members and vendors, clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to organize and prioritize projects and information with accurate turnaround under tight timeframes.
• Ability to identify, plan, start, and complete projects or other work that needs to be accomplished.
• Materials or warehouse experience.
• One+ years’ work experience as a material handler in an industrial setting.
• Experience driving a forklift or other heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Receives, processes and tags incoming material
• Moves inventory materials to their respective area
• Delivers parts to areas in the plant where work is in process
• Performs cycle counting and physical inventories as directed
• Maintains forklift trucks in clean, good working order
• Other duties as assigned, including but not limited to special processes
