Job summary

AAA Cooper Transportation, Inc. is hiring a Dockworker in Billings, MT. You will load and unload freight in a cross-dock environment, using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to ensure shipments are properly secured and accurately documented.

Responsibilities include inspecting freight, reading labels, and following company procedures while maintaining safety and efficiency. 18+ and completion of onboarding are required, with ongoing training and performance expectations.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, and speak English clearly.
• Must complete onboarding including drug screening and background review.
• Must complete new hire training including forklift driving tests.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight in a cross-dock environment using forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Manually load, recoup, stack, and unstack shipments as needed.
• Use proper loading techniques and equipment such as straps, dunnage, and airbags.
• Operate company IT equipment to track freight movement.
• Dimension and re-weigh freight to maintain accuracy and compliance.
• Inspect freight for damage and document discrepancies.
• Read and interpret shipping labels, manifests, and freight bills.
• Attend to inspections of company equipment and maintain safety.
• Represent the company professionally with customers and teammates.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
