Estes Express in California is seeking a dependable Dockworker to load and unload freight with forklifts or by hand. You will strap, brace and pad freight to prevent damage and keep accurate records of freight conditions on arrival. Pre/post-shift dock equipment inspections and regular attendance are required.

The role requires lifting about 70 lbs, ability to work all shifts incl. overtime and weekends, and ability to read and comply with safety rules and procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent background.
• Must be 17 years of age or older.
• Experience in the transportation industry preferred.
• Stable employment history preferred.
• Forklift operation experience or certification preferred.
• Must be able to lift 70 lbs.
• Must be able to work all shifts, including overtime and weekends.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsabilités

• Properly load and unload freight using equipment or by hand.
• Strap, brace and pad freight to prevent damage or shifting.
• Record the condition of freight upon arrival at the service center.
• Perform pre-shift and post-shift inspection of dock equipment.
