Job summary

U-Haul is seeking a Warehouse Worker in Charlotte, NC to provide friendly customer service and handle warehouse tasks. The role involves operating forklifts, loading/unloading containers, ensuring on-time deliveries, and assisting customers with rentals and support items.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver’s license. Training is provided for forklift use, with opportunities for growth within the U‑Haul family.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.
• Forklift operation training provided; ability to operate an 8,000-lb propane forklift is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate an 8,000-lb propane forklift or truck-mounted forklift (training provided).
• Load and unload storage containers onto and off truck beds for delivery to and from a storage facility.
• Ensure timely delivery and provide customer assistance, including sale of support items.
• Perform customer-ready inspections of U‑Box containers prior to dispatch and upon return.
• Prepare, receive and provide documentation for delivery or pickup of goods.
• Maintain clean, dry, secure warehouse storage facility.
• Participate in ongoing U‑Haul education through U‑Haul University.
