Job summary

CEVA Logistics is seeking a dock/yard associate to oversee transportation and customs processes, and provide customer service for shipment receipt and documentation in line with regulations.

The role requires operating yard equipment, loading/unloading freight, and ensuring accurate documentation. A High School Diploma and forklift certification are expected; strong safety awareness is essential.

Qualifications

• Must be able to operate yard equipment safely and follow safety rules.
• Ability to read and follow cargo documentation and checklists.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight by hand or with equipment.
• Verify cargo count and condition; document accordingly.
• Record receipts and ensure proper documentation is attached.
• Move trailers and freight to designated locations; assist with loading/unloading.
• Maintain clean work area and report damages; provide excellent customer service.
