Job summary

Apex International is seeking a Warehouse Operator to support our Shakopee location. This role involves receiving, moving, picking, and shipping materials safely and efficiently, with emphasis on lean practices and cycle counts.

The position requires 1-2 years of manufacturing experience and a forklift certification, with OSHA safety standards and strong teamwork imperative. Proficiency with basic math and office software is expected as part of daily cycle counts and data accuracy tasks.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of prior relevant experience in a manufacturing environment required.
• Forklift license is required and operators must maintain certification.
• Basic math skills including counting, addition, subtraction, division and multiplication are required.

Responsibilities

• Operate all material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Move and store materials in a safe and organized manner, accurately and efficiently.
• Pick materials in a safe and organized manner, accurately and efficiently.
• Ship and distribute materials in a safe and organized manner, accurately and efficiently.
• Audit existing materials in a safe and organized manner, accurately and efficiently.
• Process inventory transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Apply and utilize lean tools to permanently implement improvements.
• Institutionalize 5-S in all aspects of the department.
