Job summary

Pepsi Cola Champaign-Urbana Bottling Co. is seeking a Warehouse Associate to operate plant equipment and manage pallet loading for express orders.

The role involves driving a forklift, selecting and packing products, and maintaining clean, organized storage areas. Responsibilities include routing orders in VIP, printing pick lists, stacking pallets safely, and assisting with warehouse cleanliness and project work.

Qualifications

• Must be able to safely operate all plant equipment.
• Forklift certification required.
• Ability to continually lift 25 pounds from floor to waist height and occasionally lift 50 pounds from floor to shoulder height.
• Must be able to lift 31–40 pounds about sixty times per hour; 11–20 pounds about 20 times per hour; over 50 pounds around six times per hour.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate.
• High attention to detail.
• Prolonged standing, walking, sitting, twisting and bending.
• Team work capability.
• English reading and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Must be able to safely operate all plant equipment necessary to perform job duties.
• Route orders and print pick lists in VIP.
• Optimize pallet configuration and truck loading in WebTL for express orders.
• Pick orders and build pallets safely, accurately, and efficiently, by following the assigned pick path.
• Refill low product in all floor locations and in roller racks throughout the shift.
• Load staged product safely onto full line and express trucks, as needed.
• Remove plastic wrap from pallets and level off all pallets.
• Properly stack all empty shells in dunnage area and wrap full pallets for staging.
• Tear down returned pallets and return product to proper locations.
• Cleaning duties including sweeping, washing floors, and maintaining forklift and pallet jack area.
• Assist with organization and cleanliness of the facility and warehouse projects.
• Remain on site until closing duties are completed and the plant is ready to be closed.
