Job summary

Wam Global is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to repair and maintain machinery and equipment, including engines, motors, and conveying systems. You will inspect, dismantle, repair, fabricate, and test components, while performing routine lubrication and clean-up tasks on a variety of tools and machines.

A valid forklift license and journeyman certification are required. The role may involve heavy lifting and standing for long periods, with overtime as needed to support production

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
• Journeyman certification through state approved apprenticeship program.
• Forklift license required.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Observe mechanical devices in operation to locate trouble.
• Dismantle devices to access and replace defective parts.
• Inspect finished products for imperfections and determine necessary machine changes.
• Adjust functional parts and control instruments.
• Repair or replace defective parts.
• Install functional/structural parts in devices.
• Fabricate devices to repair components.
• Lubricate and clean parts and tools.
• Test devices by starting and running to verify performance.
• Operate lathe, drill press, grinder and other metalworking tools.
• Weld metal parts to steel structures.
• Operate forklift or Bobcat for material transport.
• Enter logs of work orders into Plexus.
• Clean tools, equipment, machines and workspace.
