Job summary

JASPER Engine Exchange, Inc. is seeking a Forklift Operator in Iowa to load and unload truck trailers and manage racking system setup and breakdown. The role requires reading computer printouts to ensure accurate loading and meeting tight deadlines.

Job Description: Forklift Operator Job Overview:

This position requires a detailed person that will be responsible for loading, unloading truck trailers and set-up and break down of the racking system. This is a self-directed position requiring the person to read and understand computer printouts to accurately load and unload the trailers to meet the specified deadlines. This can become a pressure situation as the lead times can be short at times due to customer demands. Must be able to work overtime. Prior forklift experience a must.

Schedule:

• 4–10-hour days, Monday – Friday 6:30am-5:00pm (day off during the week will be determined upon hire)
• Overtime available

Qualifications:

• The ability to lift, bend, push, pull and move materials up to 50lbs.
• The ability to stand or walk an entire shift (can be approx... 8-10 hours)
• The ability to use tools such as computers and hand scanners
• Standing: Occasionally
• Walking: Occasionally
• Sitting: Frequently
• Stooping (forward leaning): Frequently
• Must Complete Powered Industrial Truck Training

Salary and Benefits:

• Starting rate $20.00
