Grede is seeking a Fork Truck Repairer to perform maintenance and repairs on forklifts and related equipment. The role requires diagnosing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and electronic issues and performing emergency repairs to minimize downtime.

You will document inspections and collaborate with operations to prioritize repairs. Two+ years of forklift or heavy machinery experience, ability to read schematics and service manuals, and proficiency with diagnostic tools are essential.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience repairing forklifts, industrial equipment, automotive equipment, or heavy machinery.
• Knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret service manuals, schematics, technical drawings, and equipment specifications.
• Proficiency with diagnostic and testing equipment.
• Ability to safely operate powered industrial vehicles.

Responsabilités

• Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled inspections on forklifts and other material handling equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic malfunctions using testing equipment and diagnostic tools.
• Repair and replace components including engines, transmissions, brakes, steering systems, hydraulic pumps, cylinders, batteries, chargers, and electrical systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair electric, propane, gasoline, and diesel-powered forklifts.
• Maintain accurate maintenance, repair, and inspection records.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and perform emergency repairs to minimize downtime.
• Order and maintain inventory of replacement parts and supplies.
• Perform welding, fabrication, and minor machining work as needed for equipment repairs.
• Operate forklifts and equipment safely during testing and inspection processes.
• Follow safety procedures, lockout/tagout requirements, and environmental regulations.
• Collaborate with operations, warehouse, and maintenance personnel to prioritize repair activities.
• Conduct safety inspections and ensure equipment meets OSHA, manufacturer, and company requirements.

Join our team as a Fork Truck Repairer! This is a 1st-shift position, but you must be flexible and willing to work any shift as needed.
