Clorox Company is hiring a Fork Truck Operator for the Wheeling, IL facility on a 12-hour night shift. You will load/unload goods, move materials, operate forklift equipment, and maintain safety and GMP standards.

SAP, WMS, RF devices usage, and maintaining forklift certification are required. You will train others and support day-to-day operations with a focus on raw materials and finished goods, reporting to the Distribution Lead.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• A resume is required.
• Proven experience utilizing different types of forklifts (standup, sit-down, cherry picker, etc.).
• Successful completion of core competency training.
• Can demonstrate effective interpersonal and communication skills.
• Demonstrate the ability to prioritize work area to 5S standards.
• Able to follow established procedures and protocols, compliance with OSHA & DOT standards.
• Ability to understand and use network computer applications and electronic mail.
• Ability to make decisions using sound judgment based on available information.
• Completion of level appropriate skill blocks.

Responsabilités

• Load and unload all loads of finished goods and raw materials as assigned.
• Move and position finished product or raw materials into designated areas within the facility.
• Conduct basic palletizer and de-palletizer operations to include unloading of finished goods, supplying product platforms, and assisting to resolve operational problems.
• Safely and efficiently operate all material handling equipment, to include batteries and chargers.
• Maintain all safety, GMP, and area housekeeping standards.
• Comply with all customer service requirements.
• Perform physical and cycle counts.
• Perform query and entry functions in SAP.
• Familiar with WMS (Warehouse Management System) and RF devices.
• Maintain current Clorox Forklift Certification.
• Train other FTOs.
• Perform any assigned duties that fall within the scope of this job as defined by management

This role involves performing daily inspections of electric-powered forklifts and using various attachments like slip-sheet units, double-forks, and clamp trucks. The job supports production by managing packaging materials and ensuring safety through reporting and correcting unsafe conditions. The purpose of this position is to perform all day-to-day activities, with focus on raw materials and finished goods handling, to achieve the department and business objectives. Day-to-day general direction is provided by the Distribution Lead.
