Job summary

Clorox seeks a Packaging Operator for its Fairfield, CA facility on the 3rd shift. You will operate and change over packaging line equipment, perform quality checks, and support line changeovers with safety and efficiency in mind.

The role requires problem solving, teamwork, and the ability to train others on equipment and procedures. Strong organizational and computer skills help you document data and work within SAP/MES environments.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years production experience preferred.
• 1-year fork truck experience preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership experience.
• Demonstrated communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate packaging line equipment as listed in checklists.
• Perform line changeovers and verify equipment checklists.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on line equipment.
• Execute quality control checks and record data as required.
• Handle materials for the packaging line and ensure proper inventory.
• MES and EWM system execution and monitoring.
• Complete multiskilled training through Block 6 and train others.

The purpose of this position is to operate and changeover limited equipment and inspect finished goods and packaging materials for defects. This position must be able to act as a backup for line operators in their absence. Day to day general direction is provided by the Lead Operator and the Packaging Manager.
