Overview
The Fork Truck Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating forklifts and for the timely movement of lumber, materials, and finished products throughout the plant, in accordance with safety standards for forklift operation.
Qualifications
- 1+ year of forklift or forklift truck operating experience, preferably in a lumber or construction materials environment.
- Forklift certification preferred; willingness to recertify through company training if needed.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Basic understanding of inventory procedures and yard operations.
- Strong safety awareness, communication, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities
- Train across all Yard Department areas, including operating various mobile and fixed equipment such as forklifts and loaders, with required hours and practical testing for qualification.
- Interpret operational procedures, including Job Safety Analysis and Work Instructions.
- Perform additional duties as needed.
- Recommend safety improvements.
- Demonstrate dependability in attendance, work completion, and flexibility.
- Work well independently or with team members, providing and receiving constructive feedback.
Qualifications
- Ability to read and write in primary language.

- 84 Components Fork Truck License.
