FORKLIFT OPERATOR

Job Description:

The Forklift Operator is responsible for operating powered industrial trucks to move, locate, stack, and count materials. The role ensures products are handled safely, efficiently, and accurately, maintaining the smooth flow of inventory in the warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Candidates must be experienced and certified on a forklift and able to fulfill the following requirements:

  • Receive and unload inbound shipments of warehoused food products using a stand-up forklift.

  • Sort, stage, and place products in the appropriate storage areas.

  • Efficiently and accurately pick products and stage in the appropriate areas.

  • Prepare completed pallets of product for shipping, to include stacking, packaging/repackaging, shrink wrapping and labeling, and move product to assigned location.

  • Accurately load outbound containers shipments to meet customer demands.

  • Verify product, lot numbers and quantities of orders to ensure accuracy.

  • Report damages or discrepancies to supervision.

  • Perform assembly of palletized products per customer requirements.

  • Have basic knowledge or experience in software applications, WMS, YMS.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 6 months experience in a warehouse environment.
  • Stand-up Forklift experience or current Forklift Certification required.
  • Slip Sheet Operator Certification preferred.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Strong team player with a collaborative mindset.
  • Willingness and ability to learn and operate RF equipment.
  • Flexible and available to work overtime as needed.
  • Adaptable to changes in processes, priorities, and workload.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Capable of lifting up to 70 lbs.
  • Physical ability to walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
  • Committed to working safely and participating in daily safety practices.
  • Able to follow instructions and established procedures to perform job functions.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently to complete tasks.
