FORK LIFT OPERATOR - 2ND SHIFT

Position Summary:

We are currently accepting resumes for a 2nd shift Forklift Operator in our Shipping Department at New Oxford Container.

Responsibilities:

1. Operate a forklift safely and efficiently.
2. Operate wrapping equipment when necessary.
3. Keep stock and materials organized.
4. Document materials unloaded and taken off trucks.
5. Pull jobs for production, handle inbound forms, inventory tags, and counts on materials received or shipped.
6. Assist other shipping and receiving personnel to balance workloads, organize warehouses, and perform general cleaning.
7. Follow safety rules and procedures, report any forklift issues or damages to supervisors or maintenance.
8. Monitor incoming materials for obvious defects.
9. Adhere to all safety, work rules, company policies, and procedures.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or GED.
2. Minimum 6 months of prior forklift operating experience.
3. Willingness to work overtime on short notice, including weekends.
4. Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and machinery.
5. Ability to obtain and maintain PCA forklift certification.
6. Stable work history.
7. Legal authorization to work in the U.S.

1. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple requests.
2. Ability to work independently and in a team, with effective communication skills.
